Doosan's lift truck history
Korea’s original domestic lift truck market was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. started to import assembled forklifts as part of a nationwide equipment expansion venture. Early sales of this manufacturing equipment focused on large business groups, the armed forces and on state-run corporations. This ultimately led to a unification with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division begun trade operations throughout Korea to service and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a lift truck production plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training became the new focus for improving quality and product development.
The general effectiveness of the propane lift truck is impressive. Because the propane cylinders could be changed in hardly any time, the equipment can be back on the job fairly quick for the reason that it experiences hardly any downtime. It is unlike the electric forklift where extra batteries need to be purchased to be utilized while the original battery could take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the unit.
Safety
Since the fuel system of the propane forklift is sealed; it is far safer to work compared to different models of lift truck. The fuel cylinders are sealed to guarantee optimum safety and need to adhere to strict national code specialization. Propane gas even operates with less energy as opposed to CNG gas, so, if any mishap occurs, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This greatly lowers the potential danger and destruction that could happen. Refilling options are also beneficial for the operator. If they would prefer to refuel somewhere else, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the company prefers, the refilling can be done on site instead.
